BIG, HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL
My mission is to re-engineer the business of healthcare. It's a lofty goal, I know, but I feel it is the important work I've been put on this earth to do, and I'm up for the challenge. In the process, I'd also like to help other entrepreneurs—and physicians—avoid burnout and find the magic alchemy of work, passion, and life balance I've been so fortunate to find in my own life and support them through my book and teachings.
A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS
I moved to Tampa, FL in 2015, and it was a defining turning point in my life and career. I needed to find a solution that would allow me to work full time during the day on my business and nights and weekends as a practicing physician, still seeing patients, and somehow make my medical career passion and my passion for entrepreneurship fit together. I did it, and along the way was blessed to be married and have two beautiful kids. Now I'm living my dream and want to pay it forward to teach others to do the same.

EARLY CAREER
I grew up in Chicago, and while at Loyola University I started my first business in the staffing industry to pay for medical school. I would be
sitting in class and getting text messages to approve invoices for billing, so I would go out to the hallway, review and approve them, and then send those invoices to the customers and come back to class to continue to learn about histology and microbiology anatomy. At the end of my residency in Milwaukee, I got into a very prestigious pulmonary fellowship with a pediatric lung doctor. I had a cystic fibrosis research team, and at this point my whole career was dedicated to becoming a doctor with a pulmonary specialty.
